You are Invited! RCIA

Do you or someone you know want to know more about the Catholic faith? Do you have family or friends who are searching for a deeper relationship with God? You are invited to participate in RCIA. RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults.  Through RCIA, we welcome adult newcomers into the Roman Catholic Church.

RCIA is a Community Journey that leads to deeper faith and understanding.  Guided by the Gospel and with the support of the Catholic Community, newcomers find their place in the community of believers.

RCIA is also a Personal Journey in which participants are invited to grow in their own relationship with Christ. This Journey of Faith usually begins in September, culminates at the Easter Vigil (Saturday evening before Easter Sunday) and concludes in May. Each participant freely discerns his or her own readiness to become a full member of the Church as the journey unfolds.

The RCIA program is intended to meet the needs of men and women who are:

  •  Not yet baptized
  •  Baptized in another Christian church, but in need of further instruction and initiation
  •  Baptized in the Roman Catholic church but not evangelized or completely initiated

If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Edgar Hernandez at 601-693-1321 or edgar@catholicmeridian.org.

We look forward to welcoming you into this faith journey.
